My interest in photography is rooted in the 1960’s and 1970’s. Growing up in Southern California offered unlimited choices in subject matter…fast cars, the environment, the beach. I picked up my first camera at the age of 11. Instantly, amazed by the magic of working in the darkroom, I captured film images of just about anything just to have something to develop and print. It was these early years where I developed my passion for the art of photography which continued into my teens. With an eye towards photo journalism as a career, I learned what a powerful storytelling tool photography can be. Fast forward to 2008 when I discovered the world of digital. Initially for purpose of shooting action sequences of my son’s water polo games. I took thousands of sequences and enjoyed sharing them with fellow parents. Since 2012, my focus and education has shifted to photography as fine art. While I spend mcc time on landscape and wildlife imagery, you will see many different subjects in my work. My wife Lisa and I love to travel which has taken us to such places as South Africa, Swaziland, Mexico and Italy. Thanks for taking the time to view my work and please enjoy!
